- Veterans Park Area
Walk to Veterans Park! Arguably the most kid-friendly neighborhood in Ossining, there is a backlog of people looking to live here, many of whom grew up in the community.
The area around Veterans Park originally was mostly comprised of two large farms, with the original farmhouses still intact. The farms were subdivided in the 1920s and there are quite a few 1920s homes in the area.
From there many Ranches, front to back Splits and Capes were built. Many of these homes are a bit more compact than the average, and on the more affordable end of the scale than the average newer home in the area.
Veterans Park has something for everyone. Little League, girls’ softball, basketball, a lit upper field for adult softball games, a roller hockey rink, a soccer field, bocce, a horseshoe pit, a great play construct and a pond! Norman Rockwell would do well with every aspect of this area and park!
