Halloween last year was a bit different and because so many events were cancelled,. we started a new “Halloween tradition”: take a Halloween Drive around Ossining.
Just like last year, we’re determined to make the most of this season. That’s pretty much required when you have kids! and even though Forest o Fears was cancelled again this year (with hopes to come back for Halloween 2022) there are plenty of fun activities and events to enjoy as a family.
The Scariest House in Ossining was closed last year but its coming back with the theme “Quaantine is Torture” and The Crotonville Halloween Home will open again with some COVID modifications to keep everyone safe.
Last year we discovered the Iroquois Rd Halloween House and the new Halloween Light Show at Jenkins Court! The decorations at Iroquois have been up for over a week and we expect the Light Show at Jenkins Court to start on Saturday October 16th 2021.
Below are some pictures we took at 47 Iroquois Rd last year.
Iroquois Road was already a popular spot around the holidays, as Ossining resident Andre Platt has been decorating his 50 Iroquois Rd home with a “Winter Wonderland” 50,000-light display for over 25 years. He invites visitors to see his decorated front lawn and also his backyard where you can walk through a 40-foot light tunnel and peer into a life-sized Santa’s workshop!
The good people at 47 Iroquois deck out their home in a huge variety of Halloween decorations. Our personal favorite is the skeleton tree.
Thank you 47 Iroquois for putting this together!
