Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers International Film Festival: Children Of Heaven

The September film in the 2018-2019 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers is a 1997 is Children Of Heaven, an Iranian family drama film written and directed by Majid Majidi. It deals with a brother and sister and their adventures over a lost pair of shoes. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1998.
The film festival provides nine monthly offerings on Friday evenings from September to May. The current series “Family” includes an introduction by a Maryknoll missioner and a brief discussion after the screening.
