Free Art Lecture at Jug Tavern

Suzanne Altman will present “Art of the Hudson River School,” a slide presentation about the Hudson River School, the first true art movement in America. Originally inspired by the magnificent landscapes that artists found in the Hudson Valley, it then spread far beyond into the American wilderness and even to other continents. Not only was this movement important artistically, it was also influential as to Western expansion and the early conservation movement.
