- Ossining Neighborhoods
- Yorktown Section
Nature preserves, large gentleman’s farms, some with horse facilities, and Fable, with its farm to table organic crop share, set the theme for the Yorktown section of Ossining. This is the closest “Near But Yet So Far” to NYC.
The Teatown Reservation has close to 1,000 acres, miles of trails, a serene lake and hundreds of programs each year. The Kitchawan Preserve has lovely trails and the abundance of nature you would expect from what was a research facility for the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens bordering a reservoir.
This area has a number of rural estates, a few of which were divided up into large lot subdivisions and built out with homes having a Country Manor House presence. There also are some more moderately size homes, but older or newer, they all were built to belong here.
